Seahawks

Another victory for the playoffs.  We've been winning close games all year long and yesterday was no exception.  It would be nice for the Seahawks to have a comfortable win, but this is a different year from last.  We keep slipping in the middle of games and somehow pull it off in the 4th quarter.  Our first drive was really strong, but we had to settle for a field goal.  Some say we got lucky that Romo dropped the snap, but things happen like that in the NFL all the time.  We just need to count our blessings and keep fighting harder.

The Chicago Bears are next.  This is actually the team I wanted to face in the next round.  Like Romo, Grossman is a young inexperienced quarterback and we will get our revenge this time.  Rex got lucky in the beginning but his true colors are showing.  We now know his limitations.  Rex Grossman is going to get booed in front of his home crowd.  I love this team.  GO HAWKS!!!

So Long Stealers!!!

The Pittsburgh "Stealers" have lost their 7th game this season to the Baltimore Ravens.  Roethlisberger got sacked NINE times!!!  What the Seahawks did to the pitiful Raiders, the Ravens did to Roethlisberger.  How the "great" Stealers and their wonder boy quarterback have fallen.  People say he had a tough year and all, but who's stupid enough to ride a motorcycle without a helmet?

How does a defending Super Bowl Champion get shut out?  We don't even get shut out with our starting pro-bowl quarterback, MVP running back out.

It's funny how the supposed winners of the Super Bowl are now the victim of the Super Bowl loser curse.  With 7 losses in the AFC, your team is done.  Sure, we're lucky that the NFC has no true elites, but we were still able to play through injuries and Shaun is back with his 201 yards in the snow.  Being out for 6 games, he can still end up running for 1000 yards on the year.

Am I bitter over Super Bowl XL?  Yes I still am.  I will forever despise the memories of last January.

Oh yeah, congratulations Roethlisberger for making the #1 highlight for ESPN's "JACKED UP!"  What they really meant to say is, "

Birthday Update

Regarding my plans for going to New York, I have found out that plane tickets are going for around $370 right now.  I'm sure that the price will be going up in the near future, so I am guessing that we'll have to pay closer to $400 or maybe more during the trip for the tickets.  This is just a heads up for people who were thinking about going with me.  Hotel will be paid by me.  If you have not been to NYC, this is a perfect chance for you to join me and do some of the things that the city has to offer.  One weekend is not a lot of time for such a big city, but it'll have to do for this trip.  Yes the flight is long, but it'll be worth it.  Let me know what you guys think.

Birthday Plans

I know that it's a ways away, but I have some interesting plans so it'll take quite a bit of planning.  For my birthday, I want to spend it with my friends in New York City.  It's been 5 years since I've been there and I haven't been there since the infamous 9/11 attacks.  If you're interested in going, let me know.  I'll even pay for a half of the hotel.    We'll hit up the night life, catch a show or two, get some amazing food and party our asses off.  Mark off Friday, May 25th - Monday, May 28th off on your calendars.  Memorial Day weekend is gonna be a great vacation.

Seahawk Sundays

Football season has finally started.  The Seattle Seahawks are 2-0 and are on their way to becoming the only the 2nd team in history to go undefeated in a season.  Yesterday, I went to the home opener for the Hawks and it was loud and I got to see our team from the 2nd row.  Our seats were amazing.  My camera phone doesn't take the best photos, but you get the idea on how close we were.  Literally about 65% of the crowd wore Seahawks jerseys and the rest wore blue to support the team.  The crowd was so loud that the Cardinals had about 5-6 false starts.  It's going to be another great year for the Hawks.
